Growing Rice in the most traditional way

Noto peninsula is renowned for its rice which is one of the most delicious rice in Japan, thanks to its undulating landscape and mineral-rich spring water. Noto Peninsula’s Satoyama and Satoumi landscapes are designated as Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems (GIAHS) site. Nohdoh is growing exceptional rice using traditional method, with collaboration of local community. We work with local communities to sustainably maintain the Noto Satoyama and Satoumi landscapes and build resilience to climate change impacts and conserve biodiversity of the peninsula.

Innovative and Connected Farming

We are aiming to combine Japanese technology and Dutch innovative and sophisticated green house solutions as well as seeds from both countries to produce vegetables such as tomato, lettuce, cucumber with a high quality and yield, for domestic and international markets. In doing so we are aiming to enhance food sustainability of Japan and the world. We also are aiming for opportunities to apply Japanese robotics and Automation systems to address labour issues in agriculture.
